Placed an order for a couch & Ice Tub (random, I know) on 9/06/2019. Couch thankfully arrived in good condition, the delivery company was amazing. They are the politest people in the world and the total opposite of what you will get at Home Cinema Center. After 3 weeks I called to see if I could get the tracking numbers for the ice tub, I was told by a rude man that would not give me his name that I would be contacted in 48 hours with the numbers. Then today I called and got the same rude man (who I asked if he was the owner, he said no) he said customer service responded to me in an email. When I asked if he was the owner, he hung up on me. I checked my email and wow they gave me a credit for .52 NO that was not a typo, 0.52 cents stating that the tub is no longer available. They have a promotion stating that if you purchase more that $1,500 in products from them you get 5% off your order. They sent the couch (free shipping) didn't send the $11.25 tub that charged me $19.71 to ship = Total cost $30.96 and gave me a credit of .52 cents stating that since they didn't have the tub (still showing available on their web site) that my discount drops to 3% and that warrants the .52 credit to my card. Horrible customer service, and dirty play will have me leaving this review everywhere I can to warn others. So thankful there was nothing wrong with the couch, as this company would be a nightmare to deal with.

Complaint Description: In January we ordered an entertainment center (two pieces). When delivered in March, without any prior notification, one box of two was damaged. One can clearly see two holes, presumably made by a forklift. This was documented on the shipping label, also signed by shipping company. I waited to notify company until we opened it (a couple days), hoping the piece escaped damage. It did not. The front of the top piece, the hutch, was damaged beyond repair. I emailed photos to Home Cinema Center. I never heard back. Periodically I called, but HCC doesn't answer their phones. I understood HCC would need to contact the manufacturer and the shipping company, and assumed they were reviewing the issue. After 6 weeks, I was growing concerned. I sent *another e-mail with stronger language. I also called during business hours. I was kept on hold until 4:01 and informed that customer service closed at 4:00. Finally, the next day, I received a terse reply from HCC, denying having heard from me or receiving anything. I again provided photos and supporting documentation. When someone responds, the correspondence is barely civil. I can see from complaints here and other places online that this is a pattern and a problem with Home Cinema Center. We need a replacement for the broken piece. We have all the documentation and photos. Your Desired Resolution: We'd are seeking a replacement part for the broken piece of the furniture we ordered.

Upon checkout, almost $100 was added to the total. Called customer service and was told there was no free shipping. Apparently, one of us is not literate.

Very rude when they do answer phone, otherwise vm and never return call. Reclining Loveseat after opening had large gaping hole/tear on right side. Left side recliner non functioning, and will not open up. Want me to pay return shipping fees for refund, which are more than purchase price. I am out $ 900 dollars and have to throw this piece of junk in the trash. Reported to BBB to see if they can help me recoup my hard earned dollars !

I greatly enjoyed shopping here! I found it to be very good selection and has anything you would need or want. I had previously ordered a bedroom set and was very pleased with my selection. On time delivery and to my schedule. Did not have to wait months out like many of the local stores had stated. We needed to order more furniture for my sister's/my home in Florida and we called a sales rep. She made sure that we got all of the appropriate discounts for the pieces of furniture we were interested in. Customer service was excellent too. Gave me excellent service when inquiring about the status of my order.

I have never wrote a review about any one or any company before good or bad, but this company STAY AWAY FROM. I placed a order for an entertainment center over $2000. I called the day before (should have been) delivered to check on the time, and the guy that answered the phone was so rude and would not tell me anything then hang up on me. So I called back hoping someone else would answer but no it was him again and as soon as I asked why he was acting like that he did it again. This went on 7 more times as soon as I said something he hang up. I had my husband try and call and he did the same to him. I can understand if I was acting rude myself to hang up but that was not the case. When I went to my on line order to cancel the order was missing. I had just looked at it a couple of hours before. Now it reads no order found. I had to call my bank and file a claim hoping they can help me get my money back. It’s takes a lot to make me mad but when you take my money and then the order goes missing as if I never placed it. Again I don’t agree with writing reviews but if I can save one person from losing money.

After shopping around locally and on the web, I placed an order for 3 pieces of bedroom furniture to go along with a few pieces of the same set we purchased locally. HCC sent follow-up emails clearly describe the process and what to expect, and I received an email update at each stage of the process confirming that the shipment was on track (this same info is available on their order status site, but there is really no need to check). The absolute worse customer service I have ever done business with. Rude sales people that hang up on you. I have emailed 20 times at least to get my chair problem solved to no eval. Ready to notify better business and credit card company. Never buy from them!

Same experience. Seems like a scam company.

Sell you defective and damaged furniture as new that you are stuck with. They wanted me to pay return shipping fees for refund, which cost more than purchase price. It’s a Lose, lose situation for me.

This company should be punished for their shady transactions. I filed a complaint with the BBB and awaiting a response.

I am a new customer, but just ordered my 3rd item from HCC. So far, I have had nothing but a good experience with them. Right after I ordered the first item, I had a question for their Customer Service. Within an hour, I received a reply in my e-mail. The second item was a beautiful cabinet that is much nicer in person than it looks in the picture. They seem to have good quality merchandise at a great price and a variety of items you just don't see anywhere else. And I love that the shipping charge is free for many items!

Since your items were more than likely returned by a previous customer, chances are the person kept the buffet if it wasn't damaged. Good luck! If you don't get your damaged buffet soon, call your local police and charge Home Cinema *** (I mean Cinema) with theft of funds.

The process for ordering was simple. Could find everything we were looking for in simple organization. Placed the order (on the weekend) and immediately received confirmation. Next business day received a Thank you email, informing of a tracking details for the order with carrier and phone numbers to call to schedule. Jessica as well as everyone I communicated with were very quick to respond. Pieces were delivered by a very professional delivery service who took great care in every step and looks beautiful. All pieces were in great shape and we would definitely recommend and use this company again! Communication was excellent! All of our friends and family compliment on how nice the set looks in our house. Thank you very much!

We ordered a media center from this company March 2018. Two right hand towers of the media center were delivered rather than a left and a right.

The doors were also broken. The boxes were very damaged upon delivery so luckily we did not sign form and registered complaint before we even opened the crated boxes. After taking pictures and calling home cinema and asking for two new piers the manager agreed to send one new pier and a new door for broken door on other tower. We also did not receive any hardware to install shelves.

It is now the end of September, and after numerous emails and threats to get BBB involved a door was sent ( without holes drilled for hinges and door stop) The hardware for installing glass shelves and large shelf were never delivered.

Never would I use this company- spent $1900 for a big headache. This company dealt with Liberty furniture so I would be hesitant to deal with that company as well.

You've experienced this because Home Cinema Center's aka Marc, Marcus, John, Kelly etc. (same person/owner) business model is to purchased used and damaged furniture from furniture stores at discounted prices, then resell it as new from his living room couch in his 1M+ mansion in Myrtle Beach... Be careful, he might try to sell you the furniture from his home if any of it was damaged during hurricane Florence.

You might as well spit into the wind as involve the BBB ; they can and will do nothing. They are not the Commerce Police and have no litigation or representational authority ; that is an Urban Legend - all they'll do is take a report.

Worst Online Retailer!

Ordered a piece of furniture from this company online. Was supposed to receive it before Thanksgiving and the shipping company they contracted with said their truck broke down and couldn't deliver. Six days go by and they finally deliver the box. The box had a 2' rip down the side and it caught my attention. Upon further inspection the furniture had *** punched in the side. The item never made it off the truck and was returned to shipping co. I signed paperwork damaged, not recd. Tried contacting HomeCinemaCenter.com , left a message on a voicemail, John, hung up on my wife when she was trying to explain what happened, he also hung up on me today when I tried to call (also continued to speak over me while I tried to explain I wanted a refund for nondelivery). We will be doing a charge back from our CC company ASAP. There are plenty of other retailers online that provide excellent customer service, stand behind their products and value their reputation. DO NOT USE THIS RETAILER if the last three items are important to you.

I ordered a bar from these folks. I can deal with it being a week late.

It came in 2 pieces. however, when I opened it was damaged. Just the top. They claim it was not damaged to make a freight claim.

I didn't arrange freight so that is not happening. They refuse to replace. I then get a letter today saying they calling the police for theft!

I have never heard of anything so ridiculous!! Maybe the police will come haulnit away as I put a stop payment on my credit card!!

They need to call the police on themselves for fraudulent business practices and theft- using stolen customer money to fund their lavish lifestyle in SC. They evaded the police in VA when they started investigating them.
